Frequently asked questions
Is this confidential? Will my employer or licensing board find out?
Not from me. I won't share that you're in therapy, or anything you tell me, without your written permission, outside a few legal and safety exceptions I'll explain at our first session. Because I don't bill insurance, there's no claim or diagnosis on file with an insurer or an employer's health plan, unless you choose to submit a superbill yourself.
Do I have to be sober to start therapy?
No. You can start wherever you are, whether you're curious about cutting back, already in recovery, or somewhere in between.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
Yes, in Hartford. Telehealth is available anywhere in Connecticut.
What's the free consultation?
A 15-minute phone call to talk about what you're looking for and whether we're a good fit. There's no pressure and no cost.
Do you work with family members of someone who's using?
Yes. Codependency and family conflict are areas I work with often.
Do you see teens?
No. I work with adults 18 and older.
What does therapy cost?
Sessions are $300 for 60 minutes and $450 for a 90-minute ART session, private pay. See fees
